Erin Fields has been an Open champion on campus for many years and has been integral to several open initiatives. Most recently she has volunteered significant time and energy to help get the recently announced OER Fund off the ground. She has also been an important “connector” at UBC – helping to bring people from different parts of the University together to work on Open initiatives. Part of this work involves planning and running several events (Open Access Week events, Open Scholarship in Practice, Open Education Week). A lot of this work is behind the scenes, but is integral to growing awareness and support for Open on campus and beyond.
