Dr Lee Salmon was a 2023 UDL Fellow who implemented UDL in FRST329: Tree and Stand Measurements. Using UDL approaches, he diversified the representation of materials in the course through high quality recordings and the generation of translated material; incorporated high-quality photography, as well as audio and video recording into assignments which enabled students to revisit lab experiences in a meaningful way; and developed alternative formats for some assignments, specifically for students with barriers to various types of in-person or online learning.
