Dr. Brigette Clarkson led the creation of high-quality, openly licensed life cycle illustrations for common seaweeds. While existing seaweed life cycle diagrams were largely confined to specialty textbooks with expert-level terminology, these new images offer clear, detailed descriptions of stages and structures for both expert and non-expert audiences, along with alt-text for screen readers. They will be incorporated into redeveloped lab manuals for Biology 320 and 209 courses and made available online for other educators to modify and reuse. She also makes BIOL 209 and 320 accessible to a wide range of learners through flexible and inclusive course design.
