Derrick Wirtz has developed and integrated open educational resources across multiple psychology courses, including a fully open lab manual for PSYO 270 hosted on BCcampus Pressbooks. His work supports experiential, project-based learning and has removed financial barriers for over 3,600 students while maintaining strong learning outcomes. He also advances open pedagogy by engaging students in the research process and supporting them as contributors to open scholarship.
